Beside innovation, teamwork is an important characteristic of the working method of FC twente Foundation, Scoring for the community, as, obviously, the foundation can't do everything on its own. On the contrary; the general point of departure is that the primary responsibility for the neighbourhoods lies with the authorities and that results can only be achieved by cooperation. In the past few years fruitful cooperation was established with (local) authorities, housing associations, knowledge and educational institutions, social organizations, and local businesses. Long-term covenants were signed with several parties stating shared ambitions.

Social partners

In a nutshell, the effect of cooperation with social partners has taken shape as follows. When it comes to quality of life, housing associations such as Domijn, De Woonplaats, and Welbions make a firm contribution to the success of the various activities. Knowledge and educational institutions such as Saxion Hogescholen, Universiteit Twente and ROC van Twente contribute to more specific knowledge in certain areas and play a major supporting role in the execution of projects. Welfare insurance company Menzis is an important partner where sports and health activities are concerned. The cities of Hengelo and Enschede play their parts as directors by offering support and deploying expertise. Parties above local level, such as the Province of Overijssel, the Ministery of Health and Sports and the former Ministery of VROM, have strongly stimulated project development by means of subsidies and support.
