‘Taaltreffers’, a project developed in 2008 at the initiative of FC Twente Foundation, Scoring for the community, is aimed at helping children with language deficiency improve their language. This educational game allows for children aged 10 to 12 to enhance their vocabulary. Modern ICT offers excellent possibilities to confront pupils with learning in a whole new way. The game matches the children's everyday reality, as FC Twente is the focal point. The game is a success. Pupils like the challenge, and, even more importantly: they learn from it. Plans for national deployment − to be implemented within three years − are in full swing. Visit the Taaltreffers website.
