Being a good neighbour is one of the proud traditions of the Twente region. FC Twente translated this typical trait into supporting specific neighbourhoods in the area. The club has special bonds with these neighbourhoods and deploys any number of social activities through its FC Twente Foundation, Scoring for the community. From the start, the neighbourhoods have been policy spearheads for the club as well as housing associations and city councils. That being said, the foundation operations on  a level that surpasses the neighbourhoods in order to make the entire region benefit from its efforts.

Facing the future with a vision

In this age of polarization and fragmentation FC Twente Foundation, Scoring for the community, wil keep making an effort to make groups from different backgrounds connect. This connecting role, as well as the innovative approach, will contribute to making it possible for social issues to be tackled. This ambition is given physical shape and content as well by the realization of the Maatschappelijk Plein ('Social Square') at De Grolsch Veste stadium.
