Good organization is paramount to the success of projects. Different projects require different types of organization. Depending on the part played in a particular project by FC Twente Foundation, Scoring for the community, a suitable type of organization is selected. The foundation's role differs per project; the foundation initiates, encourages, facilitates and supports.
The general point of departure is that the first responsibility for the neighbourhoods lies with the authorities and that results can be achieved only by cooperation. During the past few years strong cooperative structures have been established with (local) authorities, housing associations, knowledge and educational institutions, social organizations and local businesses. Long-term covenants were signed with several parties stating shared ambitions.
The foundation has an umbrella administration in which several social circles are represented. Under the auspices of this administration, a team managed by the general project manager does the actual work for the foundation. The project leader has an important signalling function, comes up with initiatives, specifies proposals and creates support where necessary. In going all that he cooperates closely with an FC Twente commissioner, who is also the foundation's secretary. The foundation's administration has granted the secretary a full mandate for directing and supervising the execution.
